09 Feb Introducing the SUPPLIER SQUAD – a post from Claire Clarke Weddings

I’ve been in the wedding industry for over ten years and in this time, I have been lucky enough to work with (and be associated with) some of the industries’ leading wedding suppliers. My connections come from a mix of suppliers I have met from my days working at the Corinthia Hotel and the Savoy Hotel as well as networking events, avidly following them on social media, or those I have directly worked on some stunning countryside and destination weddings with. I am so lucky that many I now call my friends and have watched their business’ grow alongside mine with awe and appreciation.

It won’t be news to anyone that the wedding industry has been hit hard over the last year and many of these wonderful wedding suppliers have suffered. As a wedding planner, I am so lucky to work with such a cross section of this amazing industry from cake designers to photographers and everything in between and I simply wanted to give something back in a time where positivity and support was needed most.

So, from this idea grew a new blog series, my “Supplier Squad” where these suppliers have a free-speech space on my website blog to feature. Suppliers will turn up and speak about new product announcements, talk about trends, give hints and tips, show off styled shoots and give my readers advice on their particular field. I have some really exciting wedding suppliers lined up and I can not tell you how excited I have been to go live with this series!

▪️ I’ve been working in weddings and events for 10 years now with a background in the London luxury hotel market
▪️ I’m obsessively organised and my Virgo star sign really does match my personality traits which I like to think makes me a great planner
▪️ I’ve always been a hopeless romantic and will always get a buzz from a tear in a groom’s eye or an epically romantic speech.
▪️ If at a reasonably acceptable time of day, my client meetings will always include a glass of wine!!
▪️ I have a fabulously supportive husband and gorgeous little boy, Austin.
